What Is Wilder
Is Wilder a private school, daycare, or childcare facility?
No. Wilder is a homeschool supplemental enrichment and athletic learning community. We are not a private school, daycare, or licensed childcare facility, and we don't act as your child's school-of-record.
Who is Wilder for?
Homeschool families in the Las Vegas area looking for a small, hands-on, movement-rich, low-screen enrichment program. Small, mixed-age groups — ages 6 and up.
What does a typical day look like?
Hands-on, project-based learning blocks, daily outdoor time and movement (minimum 45 minutes), real-world and practical-life skills, and community connection — never rows of desks or standardized test prep.

Do I still need to homeschool my child legally if we join Wilder?
Yes. In Nevada, homeschooling is the parent's right and responsibility — your family is the "homeschool of record." Wilder supports your homeschool; we don't replace it or file paperwork on your behalf.
What do I need to file with the state?
Nevada law generally requires a parent to file a Notice of Intent to Homeschool with their resident school district (e.g., Clark County School District) once, typically when first beginning homeschooling. It is not re-filed annually under current common practice. Confirm the current form and process with your district.
What does Wilder do, and what does it not do?
Wilder does

What records should I keep as a homeschool parent?
A copy of your filed Notice of Intent and district confirmation, a simple log of learning activities (Wilder can supply our portion), samples of work over time, and any correspondence with your district.
Enrollment & Cost
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Only if you want to reserve your seat before you're ready to begin membership payments. If you're ready to enroll and start paying now, your first payment secures your spot directly — no separate deposit required. If you do pay the $250 seat-hold deposit, it's applied toward your membership, not an extra cost.
What if we need to leave partway through the year?
Enrollment is a full-year commitment given our limited seats. Fees are non-refundable. Reach out to shawn@wildernv.com to talk through your specific situation.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes — the second child and each additional child receive a discount. See the Membership page for exact numbers.
What if full tuition is a stretch for us?
There's a section in the application where you can ask to be considered for tuition assistance. Wilder's fund is finite — it's budgeted and replenished once a year as availability allows, and approval and amount are decided case by case based on alignment, need, owner discretion, and what the fund can carry at the time. Tiers reach from 85% down to 40% of standard tuition. Asking never affects how your family is welcomed here, and it's never discussed with other families. See the full schedule.
